Small online fundraiser for NSP and Magic Ski Patrol

There is a small fundraiser on Facebook that benefits National Ski Patrol and Magic Ski Patrol, as in Magic Mountain in VT. Half of the money will go to Magic Ski Patrol and half to NSP. The goal is $2000 and over $600 was donated in about two days. I'm guessing the idea is to be done before ski patrol folks start getting busy as more ski areas open in the coming weeks.

For those unfamiliar with Magic, it's an independent ski area that has come back alive in recent years. At the top of any list of "old school" ski areas in New England.

Total just over $2000 in about a week. Hopefully can get to the goal of $2700 in the next week or so.

Sounds like this will qualify for matching funds from Facebook on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3. But would have to be early in the morning I guess.

In theory, donations this morning to support NSP and Magic Ski Patrol may be matched by Facebook. Only about $200 left to reach the goal.

Happy to report that this NSP Fundraiser on FB ended with $2800, $100 more than the goal.
