Skiing post tibial plateau fracture- advice/your experience?

Ski Diva Extraordinaire
I did have a TPF back in 2011 (that’s how I found The Ski Diva!). It took me a couple years to get my strength (and mostly my confidence) back. I took it slow, did lots of physical therapy. The year after my injury we did not have a lot of snow at my local resorts, so I barely skied on some easy blues. I didn’t want to risk it, plus I was not really missing out. I got back on consistent skiing the year after that, that is, almost 2 years post injury. I picked up pretty much where I had left off almost right away. It was trickier to get back my mental state, than my physical one. I was afraid of getting injured again. I took it slow and easy at the beginning , and pretty soon I was skiing even better than before my injury. I had no issues whatsoever with my knee. It’s been 12 years since my TBF. My knee still responds perfectly. I would say listen to your body, do tons of therapy, exercise during the off season (I did swimming and stationary bike). Give yourself patience and grace, likes other divas said above. You’ll be back!!!
