Magic in Vermont does Throwback Thursdays. Every Thursday (except 6"+ powder days and holiday periods) lift tickets are $29.

They also offer a "throwback card" currently $149 to qualify for discount tickets $29 any day with no blackout dates.

Their zero commitment card is free to anyone ages 18-24 and lift tickets will be $39

Magic is open Thursday-sunday and holidays (incl Superbowl Monday because really that should be a federal holiday!). They open mon-wed for powder days

Just in case anyone is still considering Ikon . . . there is an offer for Full Ikon on Amazon today. I think the deal ends at midnight PT 11/21/19, meaning in about 15 hours. The perk is a $150 Amazon gift card. After purchase, Amazon sends an email with an activation code to use on the Ikon website. (That's how the deal with Costco worked last fall.)

Yet another 4-pack . . . there is one for Squaw/Alpine that's called the Tahoe Super 4 Pack. Pretty clear that $100/day is the "base rate" for a lift ticket at destination resorts out west, especially those on Epic or Ikon. Not much of a discount for seniors 70+ but at least something.

Stratton here in Vermont has a pretty sweet deal for never-evers: free beginner group lessons for ages four and older on Saturday, December 7, or Sunday, December 8, from 12:30 - 3:30pm. Learning Park lift ticket included, and rentals are available for only $20. Must reserve by Thursday, December 5.

If you want to ski the Eastern Townships in Quebec, you can save with the L'EST GO card. The card gives you discount rates at Bromont, Orford, Owl's Head, and Mount Sutton. Go here.

White Friday and Cyber Monday are clearly being used by some companies to sell lift tickets and ski& stay packages. Check your favorite ski areas/resorts to see if there are deals to be had.

Sunday River and GetSkiTickets are already offering deals good during the Thanksgiving holiday period as of Nov. 27.

Liftopia Black Friday Cyber Monday Gift Card Sale

Per Liftopia (from my email inquiry):
"Specifically, lodging products (located at lodging.liftopia.com), trip products (located at experiences.liftopia.com), and trip insurance are ineligible for gift card redemption.

They can be used to purchase lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and more at hundreds of ski resorts."

Just a reminder for everyone who has a pass to a local hill to check your pass holder perks for discounts and reciprocal agreements. For example Wachusett pass holders get half off at several hills including Jay Peak, Killington, Shawnee Peak and Whiteface/ Gore. And new this year is 3 free days at Taos.

Homewood in Tahoe and Beech in NC have perks at other small mountains. I've noticed that the perks are not necessarily reciprocal. But seems reasonable there isn't much point for someone has a season pass out west to fly to ski in the southeast.

The list of lift tickets on the REI website has grown. Includes Snowbird, Mammoth, and Stratton, along with independents in the northeast, Tahoe, and other regions. Can also get $10 off the Indy Pass. Main advantage over other online sources is that these tickets are for any day, and often no blackout dates.

Here's another example of discounts at other mountains. This is for passholders at Mountain Creek in NJ.

Mountain Creek passholders can also get a 50% discount off the window rate at the newly opened Big SNOW indoor ski slope. Not too much of a surprise since Snow Operating owns Mountain Creek and is the operator for Big SNOW. The Fairbank Group has been working with Snow Operating for a while and operate Jiminy Peak, Bromley, and Cranmore. The other mountains may also all be Snow Operating clients. I know Killington was an early adopter.

I'm really glad I was so busy with work and the holidays to be on here around Cyber Monday  Though I did pick up a one-day pass for Pico, figure I'll use that at some point with my family.

Well, there is another source for discounted lift tickets online. Costco is selling them for a few places. As of 12/17, there are deals for Killington, Mammoth, Homewood, Whitefish, and Mt. Hood Meadows. Also $69 for $10 worth of gift cards for KitLender, which rents jackets, pants, goggles, and gloves for travelers or people only skiing a few days. Some deals are for members only but some look like they can be bought by anyone.
