DaFeet and Point 6 have been longtime favorites. I bought new boots at the end of last season and got some new ski socks by Dissent. Hope they work.

Darn Tough socks are so cute.

I'm a Vermonter, and it's state law that we have to wear Darn Tough Socks. Luckily, I love them. The Ultra Thins are terrific. (Don't tell Darn Tough, but I love Point 6 socks, too.)

I’ve used Dissent wool compression socks the past season. I was a smart wool loyalist but got talked into the compression feature. Between those and better fitting boots I’m having less problem with cold feet.

I'm currently in my minimal to zero-cushion era but do love my smartwool zero cushion, as well as Point6 merino compression. Those are my top tier favourites. Second tier is Thorlo and Icebreaker ultralight. I also have some Wigwam socks which are a bit more padded and aren't as good a fit, and some midweight Mons Royale and Icebreaker ones which aren't really for skiing now. Unfortunately I now have enough pairs of socks to not be able to justify further pairs, which is very sad because Smartwool's printed zero cushion socks are SUPER COOL

Yeah Smartwool no-cushion sock fan here too. They last forever.
On a side note, I keep seeing advertising for a new NZ brand that makes ski socks out of cotton. I'd always thought cotton was an absolute no-no in snowy mountain environments. I went on a Google hunt for feedback/reviews, but couldn't find any.

Thanx for this! I like Darn Tough. I cannot tolerate wool on my skin. :( Darn Tough at least used to offer a non-wool line. I hope they still do.

I am quite partial to Smartwool and in fact I've ruined ski days trying other brands. I think I need the cushion (I get a little cushion) and friction that comes with wool. Slicker thinner socks don't work for me.

I started wearing heated socks last year by Lenz since my feet are cold even when it's 40F out. It's helped, but they're a bit thick and I wish there were a thinner version. Might need to go back to my Darn Toughs when the batteries die.

Yes to Darn Tough and Smart Wool, of course. And thin Lenz socks with heaters. But I also particularly like the CEP compression ski socks - a new favorite. (I also like CEP compression knee sleeves for joint support.)

Vermont native, have never skied in anything other than Darn Tough and don’t intend to. (On a related note, I have a system in ski season to minimize forgetting socks— they don’t get put away in drawers, they live in my ski bag after they are laundered. Works most of the time, but thankfully on the rare occasion I’ve needed to buy new ones at the mountain— sugarbush always has DT in the shops! Ha.)

Lenz makes thin socks for their heaters?

I have been using Lenz since 2013, I LOVE them. I dont' know if they still make it, but there was a thinner version back around 2016/2017 that I remember getting (the toe eventually ripped, but I did get a discount from teh company to use on another pair).
