I almost spit my coffee when I read this on the SAC forum:

HTML:
Ski pants vs. Board pants

The main difference is that the Ski pants are meant for extreme movement and are designed for skiing under all conditions, whereas Snowboard pants are designed for sitting down on the side of the groomers.

My computer screen was also in danger after I read that one today.

Some people ask the dumbest questions on that forum ...

Though one could argue that snowboard pants probably have more waterproofing in the seat because of that, right?

That's hilarious!

Well, we learned a truth last year. My son uses snowboard pants, and while they are a little baggy, they aren't too bad. Except he wore them (even though I suggested something else) during an overnight hut trip last March ...

They don't mix with backpacks and hipbelts! Poor guy's pants were falling down the entire way up. It was a pain in the $*#*.

The next day, he accepted my advice and wore his warmup pants on the way down.
