And lets hope she doesn't out grow the Elsa idea and decides that purple dinosaurs are the thing!!

Nah she keeps coming back to this well. Other things are a fad but Elsa is life for this one.

I’ll let you know how it goes!! We’re staying ski in ski out at Whistler for the Easter weekend so I am determined to at least get her sliding a bit this year. Then maybe next year will be learn to ski (meanwhile I am trying to resist the temptation to put the older one in ski racing which I bet she would love a bit too much)

Elsa skis, edgie wedgie to help, and (if ok on your ski field) maybe a hula hoop if needed for towing, rather than letting her have poles on the flats or towing with one pole only.

Not about Elsa, but about ski length, lol ... we've always leaned towards longer for regular kids slalom skis. This was fine when they were starting. Used and hand me down skis were great for having lots of different length options to try.

But our 6yo was having trouble floating on powder and asked for powder skis. I realized that kids skis are starting to copy popular adult skis with wider waists.

My husband got him a pair and they're a lot wider than his slalom skis, thus heavier and harder to turn.

So, keep that in mind when comparing skis. My opinion is if your kid can carve a turn, go with longer when the ski is skinnier and shorter for wider or more parabolic ... just like adult skis.

Oh I can update!! Managed to get her out for a few hours of ski school on Elsa just to get the feel of it, she had a banger time, and then I was able to sticker up some more appropriately sized skis that she happily skied on the next time.

She’s growing fast so probably just one more season till she’s on her dream skis
