Do you have a ski you're retiring this year? What is it? And if so, do you have any parting words for it? Or thoughts/memories you'd like to share?

Ooh, good thread. I will be retiring a pair of first generation Dynastar Troublemakers, which are 4 or 5 years old. They got me on my first boxes and helped me get my first concussion! They were great in trees and good in powder. RIP!

You did me well on the icy hills of the Northeast, where you will be resurrected from time to time when I need a rock ski

R.I.P my Atomic Balanze 5:3 old friends.

You took such good care of me as I returned to skiing. Showing me the way of "new fangled" shaped skis. Always gentle and forgiving....never complaining of the marring of your beautiful complexion by myself or inconsiderate others. Although your soft, gentle personality could not tolerate the abuse when the times got tougher, I will always remember you for your support and the hours of happiness you have provided me. You will live on in my heart as one of my fondest memories...without you I would maybe never have been brave enough to try more, you always were so good at instilling confidence. Go into your next life and do what you do for the others that need the kind of gentle friendship you are so adept at giving, so that they too may find the joy I've found becoming a Ski Diva. <sniff>

:D
