Ski Dudes Ski Packs

Any of you Divas' Dudes have ski packs? If so, do you have any recommendations of brand/size/etc?

It's my sweetie's b-day tomorrow and he wants a nice ski pack. Now...we both ski Mantras w/ Jester Bindings - and I have a great Osprey Switch pack. But I think he'd really lose his s*#t if he had to use the same pack as me too. (a little insecure maybe)

So I'm just curious if any of you out there who earn your turns on a regular basis have any recommendations.

thanks!

My husband has a pack similar to this one, by Patagonia. His was called the Orbit (they don't make that one anymore); I think this one is the Atom. It's a little bit smaller than the Orbit, but you may be able to find something larger, if you like, by another manufacturer.

One thing that he really likes about it is that it slings over your shoulder diagonally, so it's easy to slide around to your front when you get on the lift. It's not real big, but it carries the essentials.

I found something similar on backcountry.com, so you could check that one out, too.

Heh - My husband and I both have Dakine Heli Pro packs for touring. Though at least they're different colors...

They haven't seen a ton of use, but they work pretty well. Good features for holding shovels, probes, etc. Comfortable straps, decent side pockets for bars and camera and such that you can reach without taking the pack off. And they have enough space for extra layers of clothes, extra gloves, etc.

My hubby has a Dakine Ridge that he loves. He's looking to replace it, but I think that model has been discontinued. He will likely replace it with a Dakine Blade. It's a bit bigger than the Heli Pro and probably about the same size as your Osprey. We've been really happy Dakine owners so far, they've never done us wrong. The Osprey Switch is pretty sweet though... We got one for my FIL last Christmas and it rocks.
