Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Funny that this got bumped today, as I had a ski dream last night, my first dream that's been solely centered around skiing.
So I took my mother, my brother closest to me in age, his daughter (3 years old), and my much much younger brother (6 years old) skiing for the first time. They were all getting the hang of it pretty well, though at some point while my neice was skiing with my mother, my niece double ejected and my mother didn't stop to grab her skis, just kept holding her hands and skiing, while my niece somehow glided in her boots. When I met up with them I asked what happened and my mother said "I thought that's what was supposed to happen". To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if that's how she would handle that situation in real life, and that's why I wouldn't leave her alone with my niece on the hill ;)
Lots of other random things happened, but the main thing that stuck with me is that at the bottom of a run I looked at my skis and one of them had turned floppy. I took them off and picked them up, one was normal and the other one was as floppy as a deflated baloon. I probably could've rolled it up and fit it in my pocket. I couldn't stand it up and lean it against the wall.

It was their third day open and also their closing day. It was much better when they reopened in mid-November.
