Ski demo info

Something Bud Heishman told me while buying my boots which may help when demoeing skis. He asked if I had tried the Burning Luv's. I had & we discussed. He told me to try them again now that I have a better & stiffer boot. He says when skiing a stiffer ski there needs to be a compatible boot, as in a soft boot will not help you ski a stiff ski but a stiffer boot will work with you and the ski to really bring out all qualities of the equipment and the skier. Basically a stiff ski can be too much with a softboot. I think I understood him right & thought this piece of info would be helpful when evaluating a demo ski.

Hmm, my daughter is just coming out of 10 years of racing and she's got really stiff (110 flex?) boots. She wants to get a ski for deeper snow than her race skis are happy with. I hope I don't need to get her new boots as well as new skis???? Can a stiff boot work with a somewhat softer ski? Which mid- to fat skis would be a good match for deeper days and off trail?
