Ski Boots for Small Feet

So far, the only adult boot I can find that comes in a Mondo 21 (size 3) is a Lange. I am in a Lange CRL 90 and it is packing out. My bootfitter recommended I come back in the fall and try the Lange World Cup Team Junior Race Boot. He said it will fit my adult binding (Head Fast Thang with Tyrolia RFD 11). Any thoughts or suggestions for Munchkin sized feet?

I don't have munchkin feet (actually, i'm a 9.5 or so!) but i DO have munchkin ankles, heels & lower legs, and really bony skinny feet. I have a Lange Juniors boot ("L10 team race") that works great for me. I'm 5'7'' 130-135; I like trees & bumps, and have been getting more & more aggressive; the boots have served me well; I feel like I can really trust a response out of them. They aren't warm & cozy, would be my only complaint - but they do a good job of cradling in my chicken feet. I did still need tighter holes drilled in the cuff, a heel wrap, and an elastic ankle support (that i need to replace) but after that mild bit of work, I was feeling locked in & cozy, and like I could finally trust my skis. I haven't noticed any probelm with them being "for kids" so far at least, and if you've got tiny feet i'd guess I'm a good bit larger than you.

hope that helps!

Because I use an orthotic that takes up some space I can wear a size 22 Lange. In adult boots 22 appears to be the smallest size.

My friend went with a Jr. race boot, Rossignol, I think, and she loves it. Its a size 21. It fits with her adult binding on her Burnin Luvs. She finally got a boot small enough for her small foot.

I have been told that one problem with size 22 shells is that they are not a true size 22 shell. Some manufacturers use a 23 shell and put spacers in the toe. When the liner starts packing out you can feel the spacers. I know, my Rossignols were like that. Manufactures that use a true 22 shell are Head, Nordica and Lange.

I just bought the Head Dream Thang 10 in a size 22. They fit great with my orthotic. The shell is made on a woman's last. I haven't skied them yet, I'm saving them for next year because my Lange's have 62 days on them and are packing out fast.

Also, look for a higher end boot than the CRL 90's. Supposedly, a higher end boot has a tighter, more narrow fit.

A Jr. boot doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles that an adult woman's boot has but they will tide your over until something better comes along.

Thanks for all the great info. For those of you with cold feet, I got a pair of thermic boot heaters this year and wouldn't dream of parting with them. They were worth every penny! I highly recommend them for anyone with cold feet. Why suffer and sit in the chalet when you can be out skiing in comfort.
