Ski boot pain - canting issue?

I'm in a new pair of Scarpa Divas, and they're pretty awesome except for the incredible pain they cause just to the outside of my achilles tendon, between the tendon and my ankle bone. The pain runs about halfway up my calf, and it sucks. I figure this is a canting issue, but I'm not sure which way to adjust the cant to address the problem. Instinct tells me to adjust it to the outside (leaning out), but does anyone have additional insight?

Remember I have to walk really far uphill to go skiing, so I'd like to get it right from the start instead of having to ski back down in incredible pain, adjust the cant, and walk 2000' back up to test it again!

take the liners out of your boots and stand, centered, in just the shells. Have some one then rotate the cant to align with your calves, this should help you get the canting of the cuff to match your calves.

yep. you should notice that one side of the boot is much closer to your calf and you want to rotate the cuff in that direction so that you have more even space around the calf. I hope that is making sense and I hope it helps with the problem!
