Ski Bibs: Yay or nay?

Well. I just used my bibs skiing at Killington and one of the buckles snapped. Luckily we were done skiing and just exiting the bathroom for the long ride home. I am in contact with Helly Hansen. Hopefully they can do something for me.
That is so annoying - thank goodness it happened at the end of the day. Hopefully they can get it sorted soon.

Yes! Totally agreed.

Helly Hansen came back and said it’s under warranty so they can provide me with store credit but that they cannot fix it for me. I went to my local tailor and she said she can replace the buckle. I really hate the thought of adding to a landfill so I’m relieved. The pants are fine and in good condition. I’m so glad bc she had a bit of a hard time coming back after the flood in July of last year. It all worked out.

I have my eye on the “chili” color Foxy and even comes in a short length!

Wow, good thing I don’t know how the jackets fit. Lol. My dh just said “what are you looking at”? Please no more…how many do you need. He definitely doesn’t read our enabling posts.
Well, I'm definitely on the small side so I would say the jackets run a little large. I have the Lucy jacket and think that may be the slim fitting one. Other divas have flylow shells... paging @Olesya Chornoguz, @MissySki , @lisamamot for more reasonable sizing info.

I keep telling myself I am fine with my 2 bibs I have. I've a rust colored one by 686 and a mauve one from North face. One of the ski instructors where I teach is a pretentious tool and it really bugs him that not everyone wears black pants. I do admit I get a little joy at his irriration. They don't require us to so I don't. and now I'm sort of obligated not to ever wear black ski pants since it bugs him so much. I usually wear my rust colored ones teaching as our jackets are red and I at least like to match. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind getting an orange or funky patterned bib....

My Billie shell died, but I did not find it ran large - I ski in New England so layer to the hilt and won't buy a jacket that isn't roomy enough for my layering needs.

I have the Lucy jacket and matching Siren bib. The Lucy is a lighter weight/touring shell so I use it on warmer days and going west. I don't layer as much when I wear it so it fits well.

The Siren bib is roomier than some other Flylow bib models, but it is perfect for me. I had to size up in the Foxy, but mine are older so no idea if they have changed the cut. I hear the Moxie is roomier than the Foxy, but I haven't tried it on yet.

Flylow generally cut longer in the sleeves which is a plus for me.

I won a whole kit from Trew last year but I really love how flylow is lightweight and warm. I’m larger in the hips so I don’t know what size jacket. I’ll just wait and keep my newer NF…it’s pretty heavy though. thanks

How in the world did you kill a Billie Coat?!?

I have two, one being from 2016-ish, and it REFUSES to die!!
I have no idea, but it is completely faded and is now a weird orange-grey and won't come clean...to the point that A told me I needed to get a new jacket. If he noticed, it's gotta be bad, lol.
