Aww, thanks. Somehow my list of “want-to-go”s keeps getting longer too!
You have lots of time :-)
Aww, thanks. Somehow my list of “want-to-go”s keeps getting longer too!
Is this a version of whoever dies with the most toys wins?
It’s all skiing, whether at your local hill with 450 vertical feet or in New Zealand, Japan, or Mars!
For me it's my memory, since my brain has started falling down on the job. I can never remember if it's Solitude or Brighton that we've been to, but I can come here and check! Is this a version of whoever dies with the most toys wins?
My list is two years old! A little bigger now.
MA: Berkshire East
VT: Okemo, Killington, Pico, Stratton, Suicide Six, Bolton Valley
NH: Waterville Valley, Mt. Sunapee
ME: Sunday River (this week!)
Might be fun to do a listing of ski areas skied over a life-time. Sort of where we've left our tracks. Here's my list, as best as I can figure:
Vermont
Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, Killington, Sugarbush, Stowe, Smuggs, Mt Snow, Haystack, Hog Back (no longer there), Burke, Jay
MA
Jiminy Peak
NY
Bellayre, Greek Peak, Song (don't think it exists anymore)
NJ
The old Great Gorge and Vernon Valley ski areas, as well as Snow Bowl (I think the first two are now Mountain Creek, and I don't know if the third exists anymore)
PA
Blue, Elk, Jack Frost, Camelback, Doe (now Bear Creek), Spring Mount (a teeny tiny area down the road from me in PA)
CO
Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Steamboat
UT
Park City, Deer Valley
And that's it. Of course, I'm more than willing to expand this list anytime.
Where've you been?
I’ve been skiing over 4 decades so there’s that!Wow, it's amazing how many places some of you have skied at my list is tiny in comparison! Was hoping to grow it a little more this year with some of the smaller local ski areas, but due to snowfall issues, they haven't been able to open.
New Zealand:
Whakapapa
Turoa
Coronet Peak
Mt Hutt
Porters
Canada:
Whistler/Blackcomb
