Sizing for Phat Luvs?

I'm looking at getting some of last year's phat luvs (on sale!). I am 5'-7", 115 lbs, and an expert level skier. I do spend a decent amount of time on the groomed runs when the snow isn't great, but I mostly want these for when we get a good dump. I'm torn between getting 160s or 167. Any thoughts? I do have a pair of 167 Volkl Supersports that I can whip out for the ice and quick turns, but I'm wondering if the 167 will be too much for me to power through the deep snow. I kind of don't think so, since they are so flexible and sit on top of the snow so well, but I'd like to hear what any of you have to say!

Thanks,
Kristen

My humble opinion is that 167s should be fine, especially in soft or powder conditions---more float. The trend seems to be bigger boards for pow pow days. I'll be interested in what others say, but I say 167s!!

I'd recommend that you go longer than normal for powder skis.

That said, a 167 K2 ski is about a 173-175 in most other brands. They only measure the running surface, not the tips and tails if they are turned up. Other brands tend to measure the total height of the ski including tips and tails.

So I'd say the 167 sounds about right for you.
