Had to spend the day doing non-athletic things since my cold decided it wasn't going to let me do anything fun. So The Boy and I went to Colorado Ski and Golf to browse around. I found a pair of ski pants on sale that hopefully will work (and hopefully I'll be able to test them out before the end of the season... maybe?).

The Boy got some new bindings for his board, and I (insert devil-horns here) managed to convince him to buy a ski setup. Muahahah. Yes, that was my evil laugh. I've turned him to the dark side! He actually got a pretty sweet deal, they had some killer sales at the store (I had to literally steer myself away from the $400 FischerV73s and miscellaneous others that I had been wanting to try but hadn't been able to find a demo on). He got himself a real nice set of closeout Salomon boots (better boots than I have, actually), a nice pair of Salomon bindings, and a pair of K2 Silencer twin-tips. Since he likes to play in the park as a snowboarder, the guy at the shop recommended he go with a twin tip and I'm thinking he'll like them.

Is it wrong though, that I'm super jealous that he got new skis? I used my tax return to pay off credit cards, but he got to use it for fun stuff.... :(

Well, at the least the skis are 160s which means if I want to 'borrow' them they will be my size. I have heard they should be a good bump ski.... :D

I guess you used your credit card for the "fun stuff" already :D but then again, I'm considering using my credit card for one last ski purchase this season, though I'm feeling sheepish about that....

I used my credit card buy new skis....and then later that evening went to see a preview screening of Maxed Out, which is about credit card debt.


I basically had heart palpitations the rest of the night. :o
