Snowmiser I don't know how I missed this thread! I have been wondering about you and how you did on your L 3. I almost called Carl to see if he had any info on exam results. I am sooooo happy for you!!!!! Awesome job! But a little birdie told me that they weren't to worried about you passing that test! You got skills girlfriend! Hard work always pay's for itself on test days! You get extra hugh Kudo's taking that exam pregnant, it's tough enough ( physically and mentally) when your not pregnant!!! You rock! Congrats on the Baby! That is really cool!!! :D

Hi April!
Thanks for the props!!! I couldn't have done it without Carl's help. He watched me ski and saw exactly what I needed to work on. He put me on different skis, had me change my pole touch, and critiqued me "Sigmann Style" (LOL) on my teaching!! He's a great mentor, and I only hope to someday have the talents that he has. Gloria was a huge help as well. She gave me great advice and helped me build my confidence.
They both tried to have me not go this year because of the pregnancy, but I told them that it might be now or never. I trained so hard this summer doing the triathlons, and then skiing my heart out all year, that I didn't know how long it would be until I could devote that kind of time again. I told Carl that when I was 8 months pregnant with my son who's now 14, I dislocated my shoulder walking my dog. So if I was going to get hurt, it could be anywhere, not just on the hill.
Anyway, I'm glad that I didn't listen to that one piece of advice from them, but then, I think that they were quite happy that I didn't listen to them too!
Hope to ski with you someday down the road!

I wasn't sure wether to tag this newest news onto my "Shiney New Gold Pin" thread or to start a new thread, so I did both. But.......my story IS just getting more interesting!

I found out yesterday, that my Great Dane Roxy is in heat! She was spade over a year ago! My 16 year old Keeshound/Shepherd mix who's been on his last leg for over a year suddenly started acting like a teenage boy. He was kissing Roxy's ears, initiating play and finally tryingto do the deed. Roxy is over 3 times his size! (Nice try Murphy)!
I don't know what's going on at my house but if any of you or your friends out there are experiencing any fertility problems, send me your address and I'll send you a bottle of my tap water! :ROTF:
