I purchased the Fischer Vision 70's and got the 152s like Skigirl suggested. I have skied them for about 5 days in typical Eastern ice, packed powder and a little fluffy powder. They seem a bit long (I am 5'1" and 130 lbs) and sometimes I have a difficult time moving them from one turn to the next. I LIKE them but am not in love with them. I don't regret buying them since they have gotten me through a few days without renting.
I did get a chance to demo some last week and fell in love with the Volkl Attiva Luna; my husband calls them my magic ski. I also demoed the Rossignol B2 (hated it) and the Volkl Attiva Tierra (a little stiff for me). Needless to say the Lunas really brought my skiing level up immediately and I bought them in a 149. It is my understanding that the Luna is this year's AC2. What can I expect from them during those icy days? Do I keep the Vi70 for those days? Or do I sell them? The Vi70 is not much longer than my Lunas so maybe it is not the length and their dimensions are almost identical so why the big difference in my skiing?
I love my Lunas and can't say enough about them. I am about a level 6 skier. I might have said level 4 or 5 before getting on the Luna.
Thanks!
Mel
