Season Pass Holder Priviliges

We're having a discussion on the Tremblant-insider about the pass holder priviliges. I was wondering what some other resorts/clubs give as perks to pass holders. I talking about full season pass holders. Do you get to ski early lifts, cheaper food, members only lift line, discounts on lessons or rentals and do you get to ski other areas within the company group for free or cheap?? We're feeling at Tremblant that we're not getting the best bang for our buck. BTW - full season adult pass before June 4th - $1100.00 Canadian!!

Wow that's a lot of money for a pass. I'd never spend that much for just a single resort.

For the past 2 seasons my husband and I had the All for One pass from ASC. We did the "Silver VIP" level pass that gave us access to all six eastern ASC resorts - Killington, Pico, Snow, Attitash, SundayRiver, Sugarloaf - for one price with only a couple black-out days. I believe it cost $450/pp last year. As we all know this pass is long gone with the sale of 4 of the 6. However with our passes we got some coupons for lessons, lift tickets for friends, etc and discounted lodging at the on-mountain hotels. This discounted lodging was as low as $20/ppn at Sunday River. So I thought it was a really good deal. Now all the passes are getting more expensive - though I did see that Whiteface/Gore were offering a pretty nice deal but too far away for us. Still waiting to hear what the pass will be for Sunday and Sugarloaf. However at this rate I think it is likely that we will be ski-nomads next year taking advantage of lots of ski-n-stay specials.

Thanks persee. We can ski other ITW resorts at 1/2 price. Other than that its cheaper food and discounts at some other resort amenitites. Last year we got 5 coupons each for discounted lift for friends. Not good during the Christmas holidays or every Saturday. No deals on accomodations. The strike last year really wreck havic on deals. Anyone got some good perks??

Perks???!!!! Perks for passholders???!! Huh.

Hmmmmm, well there is Season Passholder Appreciation Day. It's one day in late spring. You get a complimentary breakfast, and they open the lifts earlier than usual so passholders can get a chance at first tracks.

besides things like deals on lessons, rentals, etc. one of my favorite perks at my local hill is the season pass holder's race. it happens near the end of the season and the winners get a season's pass for next season!

there is one winner per age category (ie: child, youth, adult, senior, etc.) and for children 6 (?) and under, who otherwise ski for free and don't need a pass, they can win a kids club membership (basically lessons for tots)

the best thing about the pass holder's race is that you don't race against others . . . that's right . . .

each passholder gets 2 runs on the course and the person who matches their own time closest wins!

so it's not about speed, but consistancy, making it fair for all participants and non-intimidating to the non-racer type!

novel idea, eh? :D

Our passes at Crystal get us unlimited ski time, discounts on lodging, discounts on some lessons, $5 off on tunes at the resort, a passholders appreciation day, and discounts up to 1/2 off several out-east resorts and Searchmont Canada. They used to also get us 1/2 off at Nubs Nob during the week, but Nubs stopped participating. All for $229 pp!!
