Hey Divas, I took a short, non-skiing (!!!) business trip last week. Attended a conference at the beautiful La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA and brought my daughter. Warm sunny days and very cool nights.
We arrived in San Diego in the early afternoon thanks to the time change. I rented a convertible for fun and my daughter got a kick out of it. Here she is at the airport with the city in the background:
Here are 3 pics of the grounds at La Costa, the last one of the front of the spa. This spa is amazing BTW and if you're in the area, you can go as a day guest.
On Friday, we headed to Torrey Pines State Park and checked out the views from the cliffs above, then did some walking on the beach.... and collected shells.
And that's me with the orange sweatshirt on the right....
We then drove down to LaJolla and enjoyed the views, did a little browsing, and then headed back to the water for sunset.
It was a great trip, despite the amount of travel time and effort. The conference was good, but honestly, I can't wait to get back on snow!
