Well I finally took the leap and bought new boots.
As some of you know I really wanted to check out the new Full Tilts, but they're not available in Canada. So the next best thing is the Dalbello's who use the same tongue and buckle system.
However, when I went and tried them on I had some issues with the Dalbello's (the buckle placement is not for me, I can feel the buckles through the boots etc) Too bad. Oh well, I tried the Salomon Instinct 9's and the Idol 8's.
The Instinct 9's were too high and narrow at the cuff. The Idol 8's were almost perfect. The bootfitter flattened the tongue, removed the cuff insert and moved the instep buckle forward.
I have an appointment Monday for canting adjustment. (He didn't want to adjust the canting until my footbeds were ready)
My foot:
Calf: Low & wide
Hindfoot: Narrow
Midfoot: High arch, high instep
Forefoot: Regular w/slight pronation
Please stay tuned for next weeks review!
