Rossignol B83 or Dynastar Excusive Legend Powder or...???

Hi,

Has anyone skiied either of these. Someone told me the new B83s are stiffer than the old B3s (I have B2s (perhaps the foam is a bit tired from hammering) and B78s and the B78s seem stiffer) also that the B83s may have wood or part wood core, but then another supplier (who don't actually stock Rossi so may be biased) said they are all foam and soft.

I love my B78s they are so easy but they suck at speed, I'd be interested if anyone can tell me how much difference there is in a B78 and B83, stiffer, softer are they much slower edge to edge etc.

Then there are the Dynos I understand they are stiffer then the Rossi. I really want an easy ski I can play on and try desperately to learn how to ski powder. But I still want them to work on piste as at the moment I hate powder.

Sorry I am rambling.... Any ideas for a mid fat that works on piste for someone that likes a B78 (B2) but finds them a little soft but doesn't mind if the mid fats are as soft as long as they are easy to learn powder on and are at least as good as the B78s on piste. (I have some Volkl Fuegos that are my nice speedy piste skis)

Thanks all!

Are you talking the B83 or B83W?? Description in my Rossi book is the same as to conditions and the dimensions the same. Description from the Rossi book: "Expert women skiers seeking out the back bowls and glades. B83W excels at eating up powder, crud and funky snow. 70% off piste, 30% piste." (Not a piste ski!, stick with the Volkls)
B78W - "Expert women skiers that want total versatility. B78W excels in powder, crud and has amazing grip on the hardpack. 50% off piste, 50% piste".
All Bandits are wood core, 2 types in the core. If you are talking the regular B78 and B83 they have an aluminium insert in the tip to increase torsional rigidity. So both are stiffer and that insert is not in the women's version.
Now I tried the B74W last year at a demo day for 2008 skis. I didn't think it liked the hardpack at all. Liked the loose stuff, but not the "eastern powder, aka hardpack" we get here in eastern Canada. The edge to edge transfer wasn't as long as some skis I've been on. But if you're looking for a mid-fat that likes speed. I don't think the Bandit series is the one for you. As you can see from above the manufacturer doesn't even recommend some for piste skiing.
Actually you might like the Atomic Foxy Mama. I skied it on hardpack, it carved well, but it really like the crud we had that day. I could see it in powder, but would want to demo it in that as its a heavy ski. And then there's the Nordica's and ......
