Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Me: 5'7", 160 pounds, aggressive skier, but from the east, so little/no powder or offpiste experience.
Present skis: Elan Magfire 12, length, 160.
Demoed: Rossignol B2. Length: 166. 116/78/105
Location/conditions: Wachusett, packed and groomed powder.
Continuing my quest to find skis that would great on powder days (the one or two we have here every season) I demoed the Rossi B2s. They're billed as a good choice for freeriders in the east who want something that will do it all. The demo center guy called them the "swiss army knives" of skiing.
I had a lot of fun on this ski. It wasn't quite as perky as the Head i.M. 82, but it did everything pretty well. It's also a forgiving ski - at least more forgiving than my Magfires, and it even held its own in the few spots that had been scraped a bit by the end of the day. I would definitely try this one again, especially on a trip out west. It's fast, stable and seems to do whatever you ask of it.
