Robotic Exoskeleton for Skiing

Sure, I'd try it if my legs were shot. But an extra 20 pounds.....that's quite a bit of extra weight. Hopefully, they can make it lighter.

Wondering if it wouldn't make one a weaker skiier, and then what if it malfunctions?

I'm not sure about the exoskeleton, but I want one of those ski treadmills they are testing it on!

I might try it to prolong my skiing life. But carrying those 20 extra lbs. is a bit intimidating. Agree that it needs to be about 50% lighter to be reasonable .

Looks like Ski~Mojo started out in 2007. About $700 in US dollars. Company based in the UK, with deals in UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It's possible to demo in France.

I know an older ski instructor in New England who has been using CADS for quite a while. That product has been around since 2011 or so. Requires unhooking and hooking for each lift ride, but he was clear that they helped support his knees. Price is around $700.

Hmmmmmm......I may have to rethink my "ski bike" plan when my 65 yo arthritic knees give out for good. Or total knee replacement-----but nice to know there are other options

(my son and his ski patrol cousin--if pic uploaded, can't tell)
