Road ID

So, as I start out into my spring/summer workouts it dawned on me that unlike skiing I carry very little with me while running/cycling. What if something happened to me and I was unconscious, how would they know who to call? I actually purchased a Road ID for my dad for Christmas (the uber exercise fanatic who started competing in cyclocross at the young age of 61 last year and was mad that he came in second in state finals because he got a flat!). So, I decided that it was time I order mine.

As a thank you they sent me the code ThanksRobyn368130 for up to 20 of my friends to use in the next 30 days and I thought I'd post it here. If anyone buys and gets a code you should post it as well so that we don't run out. I think I'll be wearing it skiing next year as well since it contains all my emergency contact info.

Thanks Robyn!
Your post was the nudge I needed to actually sit down and place my order with Road ID. I've seen their ads and think it is a great idea. Somehow a smudged piece of paper in my pocket (or shoe) doesn't give me the same piece of mind as something around my wrist.

Thanks Robyn! I've been meaning to get one of these. I was actually thinking about it in the middle of my 10 mile run the other day when I realized I didn't have any ID or even my cell phone on me if anything should happen. Time to pull the trigger!

I have one for my running shoes, but never thought of using it while skiing. I carry around an expired car registration and my health insurance card--neither of those would enlighten a rescuer that I've got a drug allergy, though.

Great idea!

Mine came today and looks great. I have my name, city and state, mom's phone, dad's phone, aunt's phone, and "Push the Limit" on mine to remind me that every time I think I've hit the limit I can push a little more.

Another code if Robyns has run out

ThanksJill369168

Ordered one set and an extra band. Once I see it I may order another for my Dad. Where Robyn put her inspiration message, I put "contact lenses" Since I wear them. So its also a medic alert!!

I have used a Road ID for several years now - started with the wrist bands and then moved to the shoe device. It is such a value I can't leave home without it!!!!

I'm definately going to get one of those for myself and another for DH. My younger daughter will be getting a cell phone soon so once I am sure that her phone # works, I'll get one and add her # to it.... Thanks Robyn!
