Montage and Camelback in eastern PA are hanging in there for at least the last weekend of March, perhaps even the following weekend.

March 31 is it for the southeast (NC, VA, WV, MD). Bryce, Massanutten, Wisp, Sugar, and Cataloochee are managing to have slopes open this weekend as a bonus. Snowshoe conditions are apparently noticeably better than usual due to more snowmaking infrastructure, especially for the Western Territories.

Colorado closing dates sorted by closing dates in April and later. The fact that Easter is April 21 in 2019 probably is why Vail, Aspen Mountain, and Snowmass are staying open past mid-April. Some school spring breaks are the week before Easter. Folks with who travel based on Epic, Ikon, or MCP multi-resort passes have options for late season skiing.

Granby Ranch, Hesperus, and Powderhorn are done after the last weekend of March, although Powderhorn may have some bonus weekends in April (Fri-Sun). Hesperus was part of the Freedom Pass and the Power Pass (includes 3 days at Loveland, Monarch), so those with Hesperus season passes have places still open that are fairly close when driving. Powderhorn passes are under $300, so having a relatively short season for the region isn't a big deal. It has a lot of sun exposure.

Loveland and Monarch became part of the Powder Alliance for 2018-19, which gives a season pass holder at any of the Alliance ski areas 3 free days at the other locations.

ABasin won't be connected to Epic after 2018-19.

And no chance of any late closing here in WA. After our record warm January and our record cold and snowy February, we had record breaking summerlike temps in March instead of the 6 feet of snow we usually get. Boo.

Looks like Jiminy Peak, Berkshire East, and Catamount in the Berkshires (western MA) planned to be open the last weekend of March. Catamount is giving up on Sunday, March 31 due to rain but might open the following weekend. Hard to tell when BEast intends to close. Jiminy Peak is done with night skiing and plans a bonus weekend, but ski school ends in on March 31.

Huh, thought the opening weekend at Mt. Hotham was also scheduled for June 8?

Pretty clear that the fact Easter is on April 21 makes a difference for this season, along with the deep snowpack in the west. In general, ski resorts close because of decreasing demand from folks who aren't season pass holders who are likely to at least buy lunch, if not stay in resort lodging, than not enough snow coverage. The number of resorts that are connected to Epic or Ikon is a factor for increased number of the late closings, meaning after the first weekend of April. Of course, lifts will start closing for terrain that doesn't have enough coverage as well as to decrease the number of people needed to keep a large resort open. But there will be more options for skiing in early May than last spring.

Tremblant is Easter Monday or April 22. Haven't heard about weekday operations after this weekend. I do know that they are shutting lift down during the week. But they do that all season anyways.

Revy open on 21st April looks like it could be a bit of a challenge, snow-wise. Could be down to a couple of runs up high if there's no new snow and it stays warm...

Wachusett just announced they will open one last day on Saturday April 13th from 9-1. $10 lift tickets online with the code LASTDAY. The only lifts will be Minuteman and Ollie's, so not too much terrain. But hey, it is one more day.

Sugarloaf is open daily through May 5, and they should make it. As of last Friday, it was still full-on winter conditions. That likely has now changed, with warmer temperatures this weekend - and rain pending next week. Ah well - all things must pass. Still a few weeks to go up there for anyone in the Northeast looking for skiing!
