Your quiver is your collection of (multiple) skis. I'm inclined to believe it comes from archery- a quiver of arrows.

Sometimes you'll see a ski marketed as a one-ski quiver; when they say that, they're trying to say that the ski handles all conditions and situations well enough that you don't need different skis dedicated to different conditions.

Sadly, I don't have a quiver right now, I've only got one pair, but as an aspiring gearhead, I'm working hard on building one :D

Welcome!
As Num said, it comes from the archer phrase.
If you're skiing on something that doesn't fit the conditions you reach around and pull another from the quiver. Something more suited to attack the mountain.

What's in your quiver?

Come to my garage--I have quivers of skis, of boats, and of bikes. Oh, yeah, and check out my closet, too--quite the quiver of shoes (140 pair). That's why they call me.......the Quiver Queen.;)
