Poll: Dates for Diva Summit '09

Okay, enough speculating. Here's where we get to have a say on when we want Diva Summit '09 to be: a week in Summit County, Colorado, where we get to meet and ski with other Divas!

Obviously, there's not going to be a week that everyone can agree to. And who can say what their schedule will be next season? But this is a good starting point.

I just put our vote in for the first week of February as that is the most likely we'll be able to attend. The last week of February/first week of March gets into a time frame in which we're likely to have other commitments.

I'm abstaining for now since it's super easy for me to get here and I can be pretty flexible this far in advance. But I'll weigh in when we get closer with details about logistics and dates.

In addition to voting, can I just make a little plea for all the working in the industry divas? Last week in Feb and first week in Mar are great skiing: and really, really busy. this is a making hay while the snow is flying business: it only runs part of the year, and if you give up good work time, you don't get to work overtime in April.

I voted for the first week of Feb. I can also do the last week of January. The end of Feb and first of March is bad for me work wise. But just to show that I'm really interested I have to go to Toronto the first week of April and I'm taking my passport app with me to drop off.

My $.02: I think we should take these instructors' needs into consideration and not schedule for late February or early March....

Mine's not ski work, its the real working world. Same reason I couldn't do Utah this year. Company year end, end of Feburary. And when you own the company, you kinda need to be there!!

How about mid February?

I will most likely be working all of January, and the first week of February might be too early for me to get there in time and get rid of the jetlag... Which is way I voted for the last week of February.

You know, one thing is certain: whatever week we have this trip will not be good for everyone. It's unfortunate, but true. There will always be someone who has a conflict.

Obviously, we'll do all we can to get the date that accomodates the greatest number of people.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

can't commit to the trip, but definitely can't do it the end of February into the first bit of March. Sew Expo in Puyallup is then -- it's one of the few weeks a year that I KNOW I have work!
