Ski Diva Extraordinaire
I rarely call in with "powder flu", but last Tuesday was an exception. We had gone skiing on Sunday with the expectation of skiing powder all day. After all, that's what the forecasts were calling for. It was not to be, however--the system came in late Sunday and Monday.
We watched, and made our plans for Tuesday. Dave got the ok from his boss (he was going to join us!), and I e-mailed my work.
It was even better than we anticipated, because high winds on Monday kept most of the mountain closed. That left fresh knee deep and thigh deep powder for all of us on Tuesday!
What a day. We skied from 9am to 3pm, with two hikes to the ridge. Fresh tracks on most every run, and it was all good stuff! Wow. THIS is powder skiing at it's finest. I felt like I was in a Warren Miller movie.
Me on "Baby Bear", normally a groomed blue run. I love deep powder on old groomed runs!
In the trees of "Dollar Slot", a black diamond.
My hubby on "Two Bucks", a double black off the ridge. (I really got lucky with this shot!!)
