Plane travel with skis

Without wrapping the whole thing, I find I can’t get the poles to sit right, the skis keep trying to come apart,
Are you putting your skis in the tube together the way that one would carry them at a resort/bases together? I put mine into the ski tube with the bases facing out, and bindings staggered, so they are already apart and there’s no room to move. :noidea:

My double tube has straps to tie them together.. this video shows the straps that go around the skis

You may also be able to use a couple of heavy duty rubber bands such as the ones that come around broccoli. I did watch this video to determine how to get my skis safely into the ski tube. And it did take a couple of tries to get it right!

I do it the recommended way as all the videos show. I just can’t seem to keep them staggered together and move as a unit without straps. I find the whole thing easier to handle if I wrap them as well. YMMV.
