Right off the upper lift at Saddleback, there is a foot path where one can drop their skis and take a short hike to the summit.
Yesterday was one of those fabulous bluebird days, with no wind, and temps were perfect. I've been waiting all season for such a day to make a return trip to the top, so we dropped our skis and went for it.

I love the little stunted trees near the top.

Fresh turns have been few and far between this season in Utah

But I got a super special chance to make Powder 8 turns with one of Alta's veteran patrollers in the Devil's Castle for our 88th anniversary marketing campaign and I'll never forget these turns!!

The visibility dropped to a very low level at Banff Sunshine last Friday(Good Friday). First picture was taken from the Great Divide Lift. Second one showed the skiers in delirium hiking up the Delirium Dive from the top of Great Divide.

Today was my 90th ski day of the season! Which may (or may not) be my last day. My record is 93, and though I'll probably go out tomorrow, it looks like a lot of rain is in the forecast. So this could be it for me. In any case, happy 90th to me!

April 7th 2026, my Dad's heavenly birthday- spent the day at Sugarbush, thanks Dad for sending us 5+ inches of beautiful light powder! The next few days skiing didn't disappoint either. Great views of the high peaks in NY. So far I'm at 72days and hope to get a few more in at Killington and yes, I"m booking rooms for next winter.. :-)
