Had some storms come thru last night around supper time and that usually means rainbows and in this case a double

Smoke from Canadian wildfires created a thick haze in northern Vermont last Saturday despite the sunny weather. This is a view from just below the Mansfield summit, looking at the Adam's Apple.

A little hike up to the tram atop Jackson Hole yesterday with my sweetie always ahead of me on the trail. Corbets couloir always looks so gnarly in summer without snow cover. Training for winter is slowly starting to ramp up.

From the top of Killington in VT on Thursday. Glorious weather for hiking with DH while my son played on the downhill bike trails. Nice to see it in summer too now! Much less crowded!

Sunset over Round Lake, near Lake Placid. Was with my daughter at North Country School for the annual summer "family camp" for alumni of NCS and Camp Treetops. Round Lake is part of the 300 acre campus, which also includes a ski hill with a rope tow.

My husband and I enjoying a lovely day out doing our first mountain marathon (about 6500 vertical feet and miles of mud). Oddly I'm seriously considering signing us up again for next year...

We were camping in Grand Teton National Park last week and it was so smoky that my guy looks like he is floating on a cloud even though shore and the mountains are visible. No photo editing at all.

Yes it was low cloud and rain being blown across the fells. It is summer after all.

Awesome photo. I don't envy you the smoke though.

It cleared fast. It only lasted a couple of days. Best summer in years smoke wise. The wind blew in some weird stuff from the northwest and there was a fire close by at the bast of the wind rivers.
