It's a 916 sf cottage. It's actually cuter than the real estate photos make it look; in spring the front garden is full of peonies.
Oh I love it..... it's bigger than my beach condo (sand colored) where I live full time! And way more quaint !

It's fall in the valley, but winter has started 3000' up and a half hour west. Over the weekend I noticed a lot of those snow marker poles went up in the valley, and some infrastructure along the Methow Trails Nordic trail system has appeared (you can see a warming hut through the trees here).

Beautiful day in the neighborhood today (this afternoon, anyways). We got a little bit of snow last night and it looks like it accumulated down to about 6k feet. I don't love the shorter days (they're really the only thing I don't enjoy about winter), but the fall light has been really gorgeous in the afternoons the last few weeks.

The JH resort webcam this morning. Sunshine and powder give me something to feel positive about.

Wow, @snoWYmonkey I am so jealous. Although maybe I'd rather be your friend that came over to see it instead of the person hosting it.
We've always known that they lived behind the house and heard them before but this was my first time seeing one in Wyoming I've seen them twice before in California but for much briefer moments.

Living in Arizona, there was one that walked though my backyard a few times. Probably the same one. Bobcats and mountain lions are often seen on the streets or in yards. You managed to get a nice shot of the handsome lion.

Good to be back, fabulous day, perfect groomers, warm but snow did not get sticky or slushy, no, not as much snow as prior visits, but great skiing. Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow night into Tues, maybe a FOOT!!

Plenty of great views at Tamarack, near Boise, Idaho. First view from the top of the Summit lift. Second view can be seen by people who take the long green down from the top of the high-speed base lift called Tamarack Express.

This is my new desktop~~~~ Love how the light seems to change when viewing this photo different times of the day.
I never tire of that view. The three peaks all in a row, the promise of terrain beyond the busy resort, or even just the view while skiing away from the tram or sublette chair. I have skied a few lines off of the first and second peaks, and the one off of No Name remains one of the best backcountry runs of my life, even though it was many years ago. As a matter of fact my profile photo is from the hike to the face of No Name peak.
