Yay!! Big storm on the horizon for WA and OR (and I think the Rockies as well at this point)

Guess the pray for snow parties are finally paying off... and we will FINALLY get some snow. Wohoo! It's been bone dry, which is really unusual for this time of year.
Bachelor just cancelled their Pray-party because there's a blizzard warning out for Sat night.

1-3' in the Cascades Fri-Sat, with additional snowfall Sun-Mon. Even down to the valley floor, so hopefully work will just stay closed and I can go ski.

HUZZAH for all the Pac NW Skiers!

Yay for the PNW!!! And yes, the local news stations are already putting up the winter storm warnings for the mountains...even though it doesn't start til Saturday. Supposed to be a good dump!

I'm totally bittersweet about this.... wanted to head to the party, but seriously... I'm stoked about the snow. Opening day is Sunday here. =)

Stevens will open within the week, they're just being pansies about updating the website. If they dont, I'll be thoroughly surprised. =P

Any PNWers get out this weekend? My husband went to Baker and said the snow quality was great but there were rocks (they only have 36" or so) and it seemed really crowded, since only the main runs were open. It was 90% boarders and 10% skiers, which might be average for Baker. He wouldn't go back until the whole thing is open and there is significantly more coverage.

That bottom picture made me laugh outloud.
Are you in Spokane?

Yes, South Hill. It's 4WD only condition and it's still coming down. My son was only the only plane that came in Weds night - he finally deplaned at 2 am.

We love it and man our new "toy" is nice.

If someone wants to shovel I'll fire up the grill.

I hit some of that today...chest deep that is.

At Bachy? Where at? I was in some, similar, but I wasn't with anybody at the time, didn't want to take my chances.

Nice! Did you manage some free cake for the b-day party?

We need to ski together, in January, when I get my Auras mounted, and my ski legs back!
