I thought I'd start a thread for those of us who get out onto woodland trails in 2021. Walking, hiking, running, whatever.
Got photos or stories? Here are two from a recent hike. The snow and ice are melting. Trails are mostly brown now.
This ladder bridge is over a sometimes-puddle that froze over. The water below the ice has seeped underground, leaving the ice suspended. Blue skies above, so the ice is reflecting the blue.
These roots stretch down the trail where it goes between the granite outcroppings. They make that path difficult to navigate. Such tenacious roots!
