I think Killington has pushed back to 11/15. We’ll see.

This weekend has several openings in the west after the big snowstorms earlier in the week. Colorado openings are planned at Eldora (opened Nov. 7), Breck, Copper, Winter Park, and Loveland. Mt. Rose opened a lift today.

Mountain Capital Partners (the other MCP) made news announcing the opening of Lee Canyon (near Las Vegas) for both skiing and mountain biking one weekend. Lee Canyon will be open for skiing only on weekends. Purgatory won't official open until Nov. 16 but will have a lift running for a bonus weekend, Nov. 9-10. MCP also has AZ Snowbow and Brian Head opening today, which is earlier than expected. Clearly the investments made by MCP in upgrading snowmaking is paying off, with help from Mother Nature.

Wow! Sandia Peak in Albuquerque got so much snow it will be open this weekend, Nov 9-10! Sandia got almost 3 FEET of snow from the recent storm system. Mountain Capital Partners is quite serious about doing everything possible to open Sandia for as many ski days as possible.

Pajarito is also opening on 11/9. Ski Santa Fe is opening early on 11/20. Taos still scheduled for 11/28.
Cool! Pajarito got 3.5 FEET of snow! Lift tickets only available for Nov. 9-10 so far.

Where did you see 11/20? The Santa Fe website says 11/23. Sounds like SF usually opens on Thanksgiving Day.

Brian Head had its second earliest opening in history this week. We are considering a Thanksgiving trip down there. We've kind of made a tradition out of early season turns to shake the rust off (at least for me--my husband could ski in his sleep.) It all depends on how good the snow is. We've done Targhee a few times for Thanksgiving and it does turn into a pretty expensive weekend for limited skiing, but it sure is fun.

Mt. Bachelor has joined the list of mountains making headlines for an "earliest opening." Will open for passholders only Nov. 15-17. Then the next weekend for the public. Nov. 29 will be the start of 7-day operations.

Tremblant announced this afternoon that opening day is delayed till the 28th. I did notice that tonight they are blowing snow at the top of the mountain.

I fear for the World Cup races if things don't get and continue cold for snowmaking.

Killington opens to the public tomorrow. I believe Belleayre does also.

I'm going to mount bachelor next march with some friends. I'm so very excited.

St. Sauveur opened yesterday. (Or the day before - not sure). Someone asked me if I had been. Nope, no WROD for me!

No Thanksgiving weekend skiing on Epic passes in VT this year. Not sure exactly when the homepages changed in the last few days, but Mount Snow, Okemo, and Stowe finally have opening dates. Okemo will open Sunday, Dec. 1. Stowe and Mount Snow are shooting at Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Epic pass prices go up Dec. 2.

I am at my in-laws’ condo at Jiminy Peak (MA) right now. It did NOT open yet, but got a bunch of snow in the last couple of days. The resort started blowing snow last night to prepare to open December 6th.
