Ninthward Skis

Looks like I might be getting the hook-up on a pair this year, if I decide I want/like them.

Has anyone skiied them? Know anything about their line? I'm looking for something similar to the Aura, stiff, all-mountain fatty. Heellllp!

Hmmm.... yeah I'll admit I've never paid much attention to them but here's a little blurb:
https://www.levelninesports.com/ninthward-skis-i-146.html

Which is funny because this pretty much sums up the impression I have of their skis:

"Even though Ninthward skis are marketed to the thug gangsters that happen to ski (not that there is anything wrong with that), we think they have a wider audience. In fact, anyone skiing the west will appreciate at least one of the Ninthward models. Don't worry east coast riders, you can like these too."

It did make me laugh when I looked at their website and they're selling shiny basketball jerseys.... https://www.ninthward.com/softgoods.html

So other than the fact that their image is not really my thing, I've never heard anything bad about their skis. And since Level Nine sells them, I'd recommend heading over there and checking them out and talking to the guys there, since it's close by.

Sorry that's not much help!

My Boyfriend tried some at a ski test in the UK a few years ago. He quite liked them and the rep was really helpful. I think it was the Firstblood he tried but he ended up buying a Volkl Karma instead, not really sure why. Sorry if thats not much help but I don't think he would remember much more about them now as it was a few years ago but they did seem nice skis.

Mmm just looked at the link Altagirl posted and they were much less "gangsta" a couple of years ago, they were quite a plain design if I remember with just a big 9 on them.

Yeah, the gangster ski thing isn't really my style... But if I like them and can get them cheap, I can deal.

Thanks for the info, the Firstblood is what I am looking at.
