I'm 5'1 and have been size 5-5.5 all my life. Since I've been working out and lifting barefoot I've moved up to size 6. None of my shoes fit. Not because of length, but because of width. I'm a little worried my ski boots won't fit this year.

Lots of good stuff here. If she is moving from a junior boot, make sure you've got the mondo right! 24 sounds large for someone of her height and weight - though not impossible.

Definitely wondering about that myself. I had no idea that this would be such an interesting thread. Great feedback here. She is moving from a junior boot -a Dalbello Menace 4 (handmedown from brother) that I always felt was too wide for her, although she insisted on its comfort and fit. She is ready for some adult boots - don't expect her to grow much more. I think the transition to performance fit will be a challenge for her. Plus I think that was a 40 flex boot - so a very big change overall.
