Dee Byrne's replacement as President and COO of Palisades Tahoe has been announced. Byrne announced in the spring that she would be retiring after 40 years in the ski industry. Amy Ohran has worked for Powdr and Vail Resorts, most recently as VP/GM at Northstar.

Alterra Mountain Company has named Amy Ohran the new president and COO of Palisades Tahoe. She succeeds Dee Byrne, who is retiring after 40 years in the industry.
“I am very excited for this new opportunity at the legendary Palisades Tahoe,” said Ohran, in part, in a statement. “I look forward to leading this talented team through our thoughtful and progressive growth, while prioritizing the guest and employee experience through the stewardship of our mountains as a place for everyone, now and well into the future.”
Ohran has nearly 35 years’ experience in the snowsports industry, much of it in the Tahoe region. Most recently, she served as the vice president and general manager of Northstar California. Prior to that, she spent 20 years at POWDR serving in several roles including two years as VP and GM of Woodward Mountain Centers, and eight years as president and GM of Boreal Ridge Corp. Ohran also spent 16 years in various leadership roles at Mt. Bachelor, Ore., including as the director of staff and skier services and as director of ski and ride school.
