New Policy Regarding Changing Your User Name.

I've had a few requests from members who want to change their user names. And I've always tried to be accommodating about it; I understand that people can have a change of heart and what sounds great one day doesn't necessarily sound so great the next.

The problem with this is that it gets somewhat confusing. Someone you've always known with one name suddenly has a different identify, and it can be hard to keep track -- especially now that we're approaching 1,000 members.

So starting now, I'm afraid I'm going to have to categorically say no more name changes -- unless there's a really, really, really good reason, such as identify theft or a privacy issue or something.

For anyone who's considering registering, please give careful thought to the user name you select. And to anyone who was considering asking to change, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to say no.

I hope you understand.

I thought about changing to some snazzy snow related screen name but decided I didn't want to confuse others or myself. :D
