I recently attended a local demo day, women only. Stockli was there and I fell in love with next season's Nela 93 @163cm. I was able to try last year's 96 and the new 88. The 93s were great and performed better than the 96 or 88 width under foot. I skied them in the morning on some PA crust and later in the day in cream cheese. They performed well, came back under me without coaxing and turned easily without needing a commercial driver's license. The afternoon cream cheese clumps needed an assertive approach and I was able to dip the tips in some gentle bumps. Unfortunately the price point for a flat ski is $1200.00 but was my favorite of the day.
I am looking for an all mountain pair to replace my K2 Alluvits@170cm, pair #3 and only demoed skis that fell into that category. I tried the Wildcat 86@160cm, Ripstick 88@168cm, women's Arcade 84 and the Mantra @161cm. I was hoping to try the Santa Ana but everything was under 158cm. For reference my new daily driver is a Rossi Forza 70@163cm. The only drawback is the weight but out performs my Kenja's in everyway.
Disclaimer, I had my knees injected the week before and may have been sporting a cortisone buzz.
