Oooooooh - so tempting! I really want Fuegos, but I think the 167 would be more my speed, especially since Volkls "ski short" . . .

WAH WAH WAH?

Oh man, I wish they were longer too. 170 or something.

O dunno OJ, you ski the 163 Auras right? So do I and I ski the 161 Fuegos and they are perfect for me....

Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Yeah, I do... but I ski trees with my Auras. Wouldn't be taking the Fuego's off groomed, hardly ever.

All the "size charts" put me at a 161 too, but I have a mental block about buying a groomer zoomer in anything under 170 . . . but the 161 would cruise on bumps:smile: Must say, if I do get some Fuegos, they will definitely be 07 or 08 - the new graphic for 09 is blech!

Hah! "Groomer zoomer". Great way to describe them! If they are only for corduroy days, then I'm going to want to be going fast, and therefore longer skis are better.

Sorry, total thread hijacking going on... But I'm starting to think that you two (Alyeskaluv & SNWL) and I need to go skiing sometime. Seems like we're all about the same. =P

Yup, we do need to ski together! Only challenge = we're located in Fairbanks, AK, Bend, OR, and Northampton, MA. Sounds like California would be a good place to meet to ski!

Hey OJ, I was skiiing my Auras switch today because you said they skied well that way and found that they do and 360s were pretty easy too! Easier on the Pearls, but man, those Auras are a 1-ski quiver for sure. I like taking jumps with them too so maybe I can hit some baby parks out West when I'm there in March.

:focus:

The Fuegos are a stiffer ski and I like them in the 161 for bumps and if I encounter softer snow and chop. They are amazing on ice and hold an edge to carve beautifully. But alyeskaluv, the Fuego '09 graphic is almost the same as the '08 graphic (I like the '09 a little better), so maybe you were referring to the '10 graphic? I saw it on the link that veggielasagna posted and I agree that it's totally hum drum!

Yeah, the 09-10 is blech, the 08-09 and 07-08 are okay (I was going by the lead year) - nothing to brag about, but I wouldn't feel like hiding them! The Volkl freeski graphics are hot, so I don't understand why the rest of the Attiva line is so bland for next year.

I was considering whether I could get those on epicski for an even bigger steal . . . but unlikely, since shipping to AK is $$$! But I'm no fan of demo bindings either, so these probably aren't the right pair of skis for me . . .

Yeah, geography is not in our favor in skiing together! Perhaps we'll all make it to Diva Summit some year! But I'm all for CA too - Tahoe, anyone???

Middle of March? Or how about Park City?? =)

I like that idea - I could definitely get down to Montana next February! I am also salivating to ski Park City, but Alaska doesn't fly to Utah yet, so Montana and/or Tahoe is much easier . . . plus I can use miles!

Bozeman's airport (actually it's in Belgrade) is small, friendly, and laid back and it's less than an hour's easy drive to Big Sky.

Sorry for the thread hijack Divas! :p

Yeah, I've done Bozeman/Big Sky before and it is AWESOME! Must make a trip up to Bridger Bowl too - amazing skiing at a friendly local hill. I have a family friend that is from Bozeman and has a place at Big Sky, so accomodations may be easy to come by
