Neve Designs Sweaters

Okay, I could've sworn these sweaters were mentioned here before but now I can't find them.

Saturday was my final day skiing with H for the season as they won't be at next week's finale Parent/Child race. At the end of the day (after one final meltdown :( ) H gave each of her coaches a bag with a gift inside. My co received a fleece Copper Mountain vest so imagine my surprise when H asked me to open my bag and this gorgeous sweater was inside. A quick trip over to the shop it was from for a size exchange and I was on my way home nervous because I've NEVER been able to wear a wool sweater for more than 5 minutes before wanting to crawl out of my skin. I put this one when I got back to the Vail home and I've worn it now for 2 evenings without even a hint of a problem. So I highly recommend these sweaters for comfort, warmth and beauty whether used on the slopes or for apres ski.

Here's the one I received (only my edging is red, not white):

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm pretty sure I talked about these on here somewhere....but I can't find it either! They are one of my favorite sweaters EVER! Beautiful!

Oh my god. I think that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I have always completely lusted after a Dale of Norway sweater, and that is very similar, except nicer. I cannot, absolutely cannot wear wool however, I have a rare genetic disorder that manifests itself as a very tricky rash on my neck and throat. I think I am going to cry that I can't own this sweater.

It really is a stunner, Robyn. Love that it has a zipper, too. IMHO nicer than Dales, which are awesome too, but this design is great. Thought I also saw a review of Neve somewhere in this section also, so you're not imagining. Anyway, enjoy enjoy, it sure is pretty!

I've always wanted a Dale too. I think I'm changing my mind. That is simply beautiful!! Nice gift and a great memory for you of H.

I have a couple of Neve sweaters ... love them. I have a couple of Dales, too, but I don't wear them as much. Neve is cheaper, and lighter. Dale is really heavy. Gets too warm. Good for outside.

Wow Robyn! What a beautiful sweater, but more importantly, what a beautiful gift! Receiving a gift from a student (expensive or not) is a reflection of her/his appreciation for you and everything you've done or meant to her.

Congratulations to you for being a special someone to a little one who really needed love and support.

Thank you. You are so very right and I only hope when the going gets rough for her, as it will for sure, she remembers the love of so many around her, including me.

Okay, now I'm crying again, I miss her and worry about her so very, very much.

I love Neve sweaters - got my first 2 this winter (Xmas present as requested) and love them - a pullover and a cardigan (was hoping to like one to keep - but liked them so much I decided to keep both of them and glad I did), and get tons of compliments. They are a lovely tight knit merino wool with very little itch, especially since you wear them over a t or t-neck anyway. More modern and formfitting and less bulky than Dale sweaters. (Am really appreciating cardigans for the hot flashes! - zip/unzip/zip/unzip.......)

Robyn, You made me cry! Damn!
I am going to have to look at those sweaters, since you have touched my heart with this story, not to mention the quality.

That sweater is beautiful Robyn, how special. I have a NEVE sweater vest in similiar color pattern, but more snow lily like. Definately not as neat as yours. The one thing I can say about that sweater is mine has not pilled at all and it's a couple years old and I do wear it weekly during the winter.
