Need Ski Ideas for my Daughter

Skimom

Hi all!

My daughter needs skis! We've always done a junior trade up program, but this year she needs real skis. She is 14, 5ft 2in, and weighs 95 pounds. She is an all mountain, great skier, mostly does bumps.

I thought I would get some advice here before we head to a ski shop. I should have gone to the big sales over Labor Day weekend, but we've just been too busy.

Any ideas?

I loved the K2 Lotta Luv in bumps, and it's also an all-around all mountain type ski.

i would recommend the roxy broomstix. A great bump ski, also good in powder and cute graphics. Only draw back is not super good edge hold on hard pack. Another ski to look at is rossi scratch BC same qualities and a bit better edge hold. Both are available in short lengths.

I have a 5'3", 115 lb, 13 year old. I bought her Dynastar "troubled youths" at the end of last season and she loved them in Chile. They are an all mountain twin -- not a kid's ski, but a "youth" ski. She really liked them; they performed well on both groomers and in powder. Don't know if they have a 2008-2009 model, but I can speak well for last season's.
