Did you do YOUR part for National Trails Day (June 7, 2008)?
If not, please volunteer your time/energy/expertise sometime this summer. We need to remember that riding is a priviledge, not a right, and the trails and bike paths only exist because someone got involved with the planning and the physical work.
You'll feel an amazing sense of pride and accomplishment when you finially ride "your" trail.
Do it....do it soon!!!!
I joined a group of 8 others to put in an additional 3 of the planned 10 miles of new trails at Hanson Hills. We worked so long and so hard that no one even wanted to ride when we were done.
Yet we were stoked when the 2 ends of the section finally met in the middle. Yeaaaah.
