My Shopping Spree

Hi Divas -

I might complain about the little bump I ski (though colour me happy today 6 hours on the slope, sunshine and great snow!!!) but I will NEVER complain about living close to Corbett's Ski & Snowboard store.

After our March Break, the entire store goes on for 50% off.

So yesterday I " accidentally " bought Smith Anthem goggles with the Swarkvosky Crystal accents (sooo girly, but sooo cool and well, they were 1/2 price) and a Giro Omen helmet to go with the new tune ups were getting for the family.

I also bought (on purpose) wrist guards for my attempt at boarding next year AND the cutest women's board protection pants (kind of like bike shorts with padding) - they are burgundy and coral with lace accents BUT have the tailbone and hip protectors.

I want to try boarding a little bit to see what my son and Hub enjoy about the flexibility of ski and board - but I don't plan to ruin the rest of my life with preventable injuries, so now I"m set for next season ... and the pants are really cute !!

It was a GREAT shopping spree !!

Ooooh pretty shiney bling on goggles! Love it! I have the uvex ones from last year with the rhinestones. I've since added rhinestones to my helmet and skis! Makes your skkis very easy to find when there are five other pairs just like them on the ski rack.
I love looking girly on the hill. I found that a pair of knee pads under my pants helped reduce knee crunch, when I learned on hard plates. Now that I'm riding in a soft set up (that I nabbed from my son) I don't seem to slam as hard anymore so is way more forgiving! I'm envious of the shorts! Great Idea! I love a good sale!!!

Oh,no sale at Corbetts. Glad I'm not heading to TO in the next few weeks. Congrats on the purchases. I'm really interested on your impression of the dark side. :eyebrows:
