Well, it's mine temporarily but I'll enjoy her for as long as I can. :D

This beauty is my aunt's bike but she can't ride anymore due to back issues. They were (are) going to sell it but with the cycling I've been doing they thought I could use it for a awhile before that happens. This is a LeMond Buenos Aires road bike. It has a steel frame which is no longer made but apparently quite coveted. And the ride is SOOOOO much FUN! I can't believe how responsive it is. Today we did 26.5 riding the hills of Boulder and it felt great. I wore myself out early because I wasn't getting out of the saddle to climb as I was unsure of my balance and didn't want to go down on a road so once we hit bike path I practiced that enough to feel comfortable doing it on the road now. Just need to perfect the gear choices and I'll be good to go.

WOW, what a beauty!

I agree.....is it your size??? Steel frames are a little heavier, but their smooth, pliant ride are to die for! Sigh.

Ack! I had a typed out a response and then lost it. Grrr.

Okay, so here we go again. I hadn't been fit yet on a road bike so I had no clue what size frame I was looking for. Because my aunt is around 4 inches shorter than me we all thought this was going to be a very temporary solution for my upcoming race. Except that I stood over the bike to test the standover fit and it seems to be right. So, I'm going to work with my group ride leader (who also works at my LBS) to get the fit dialed in as much as possible and then we'll go from there. If it feels great I may just buy it from her.
