My Last Ski of the season - Beaver Valley Ski Club, Ontario

Hi Divas -

Yesterday was a perfect ski day here - blue skis, -1 temps (ok warmer would have been nicer) but it was a great last season ski.

BVSC is one of those clubs you need to be a member of, or be a guest of a member - we were guests. I have never skied one of these clubs before and was curious if they are worth the $ 10k - $ 30k membership buy in, plus annual dues, etc.

Well, it was a very nice clubhouse - incredible food, lots of comforts and the people were really, really nice. There were no yahoos on the slopes - none ... hmmm, that could be worth the price of entry <G> and the runs were a lot of fun and as varied as they could be given the geography.

Regardless of how great it was, I still cannot imagine committing to ski one hill all the time ... just couldn't do it, but I'd love to go back again as a guest <g>

So, that is it ... season 2007/08 is done. It was a good year, got my gear sorted out, got parallel, got over a lot of fear - but there is a lot more left to get over !!!

Wow, I didn't even realize there were country club type ski areas! I guess I'm out of the loop. Sounds interesting though. It also sounds like you had a beautiful day to end the season. Congrats!

Oh yeah, north of Toronto there are quite a number. Country club like atmosphere and the same type of prices.
As for the season done, come on up to Tremblant - open the next 2 weekends still. Bing - Blue might still be open on the weekend yet.

Blue is barely open today and they have a high of 6 with thunderstorms today which will nicely eat away most of their snow.

As for Tremblant ... um ..... it's a bit far <g> !
