The pass is Ikon, so it's you didn't buy the insurance, tough s@#t. But customer serivce at Tremblant gave me a form to send in. And I was told DO NOT USE THE PASS.

It's been too cold and snowy to walk outside. I do not belong to the Y and won't on a principle I have with them. I have a stationary bike I bought during Covid, so I put new batteries in the computer and am using it. Cardio rehab has not called to schedule March.

I have medical appt's the end of Feb and beginning of March. There will be questions asked....

Hooray! I know it's been a long, hard road for you. Glad you can get back to some of the activities you love!

So virtual meeting with the surgeon today. She's happy. In fact she told me I could ski. She said the bones are healed.

But the muscles are hurting and I'm still on the blood thinners for a couple weeks. So if we have snow in April, I'll get a day pass and ski. I was told not to use my Ikon pass, as I'm working on something with Tremblant.

Terrific news! Fingers crossed for April snow!

Got news today that Tremblant is going to allow me to keep my Express Pass. I had heard that if you didn't take it one year, then you done being able to purchase it. But they could see that I hadn't even used my Ikon pass anywhere. So that was a good thing to see Monday morning. Question will be how much $$ for next year?

Nope, no skiing. I'm so out of shape it's going to take all summer to get back. But Ikon pass is paid. I'm moving out of the condo over the next 2 weekends and saying happy summer byes to all my ski buddies.
Hope you can get out and do some paddling this spring/summer. My first year back after injury I bought the IKON to force myself to actually go and ski.
Recovery is just hard and slow. I found it hard to be good to myself as I set high expectations.
I hope you have a good regaining strength spring, summer , and fall.

Take care

I had a fun day yesterday. We have a vendor that puts on a curling bonspiel every year. So I drove into the west end of Toronto for it. This event is held at an exclusive golf and country club. And the industry is construction. No jeans, no sweats etc. Suits not required, but...Like I can't wear my $100 Levi's, but I can wear my $19 pants from Old Navy. Go figure. It starts with a buffet lunch that is to die for. Think expensive make your own sandwiches. 3 meats carved at the time. Turkey, roast beef and brisket. Toppings for those, salads and free bar. Desserts were squares down in the curling hall.

Since the doctor is basically not allowing me to do anything, I took my camera gear and shot pictures for the host. I haven't down loaded them yet. But I bet I have 100. Including the "medal" teams.

They then give out "swag" so I have a new shaket and ball cap. I got ball caps for all my staff at the same time. They were ecstatic when I handed them out this morning. When ever any of my suppliers are giving things away, I make sure my staff get something, even if I don't like what's being offered.

Got home late, now a 1/2 day of work and off to Tremblant for the weekend. Caribou Cup is on!

Well, I'm starting back with my personal trainer tomorrow. I got the all clear from my family doctor. The Cardiologist didn't say I couldn't. She just said no competitive paddling this summer.

Got to get this body back into shape for ski season. I AM GOING TO SKI!

Last stress test coming up in August.
