Slickery? Is that a type of snow? Can we add it to 200 words for snow?

I learned the word gropple (at least thats how I think it is splled when I moved to Utah......

Dare I ask who said it? I think you watch 9 News, was it Ashton (who I can bare believe is old enough to have gone to college!)?

Yup! Ashton. He wanted to say "slippery" and "slick" describing the driving conditions in Denver tonight, but it came out like this....
"It's really SLICKERY....er....slip...errr...slickery....out there so be careful!"

I LOVE IT!!!!!!

(ps....he just got married! I'm quite certain I'm old enough to be his GRANDMOTHER! :D ) Slickery little devil! :eyebrows:

I do recall hearing he was getting married. For those of you wondering here's a pic.

I know, and I just looked at his bio, apparently he has a master's degree! Oh, and Wendy, we're in Colorado, not Canada.

And I don't think Colorado or Canada allows 13 year olds to marry. But to some 20 something, that looks good!! Looks like my friends son!!

Is Channel 7's Mike Nelson considered Denver's "gold standard" meteorologist?? Quick OT story: he and DH attended University of Wisconsin at same time and were fellow ski instructors at Devils Head Resort north of Madison. Mike's first on-air post college job was with Madison's ABC affiliate, and he often did on-snow on-skis weather reports from there, it was great. He then moved on to bigger tv markets! Great guy, great skier, and we love watching his weather reports when we are in the area.

Hmmmm....Mike Nelson, in my humble opinion, is not of the "Gold Standard." He's ok, but I LOVE the meteorologists on 9 news! He used to be there, but now it's Kathy Sabin....who is FABULOUS! Nick Carter is my favorite.

Mike Nelson makes no secret of the fact that he is a skier. He comes across as a little too cocky for me, but that's just me! :D

I'm sure you know MUCH more about him than I do.
